Right then. That is all we have from this Boxing Day! The action continues in the BBL as on Monday, we have a couple of clashes coming our way. First, Hobart Hurricanes will face Adelaide Strikers in Hobart at 6:05 pm local (7:05 am GMT) and then later, Brisbane Heat will face Melbourne Stars at The 'Gabba in Brisbane. That game will begin at 8:05 pm local (10:05 am GMT). Make sure you join us for both these games! Goodbye for now!
Mitchell Marsh is the Player of the Match for his all-round performance. He says that they are playing really good cricket and he is really happy to be a part of it. Adds he is just being very disciplined with his routine and it has really helped him a lot in his game. Says he is feeling really good at the moment. Mentions that going to West Indies and starting to bowl again in tight situations has really helped him to get back into the form.
... The Presentation Ceremony ...
Not much to talk about when it comes to the bowling of the Renegades. They would have wanted early wickets but didn't get them. They did get a couple of wickets in quick succession and would have hoped to get back in the game but that did not happen in this game. Marsh and Munro laid them flat and the Renegades had no answers to them.
Cameron Bancroft and Josh Inglis provided the Scorchers with a solid start by putting up a 49-run stand. They both did fall in quick succession but the pair of Colin Munro and Mitchell Marsh was more than enough to see them through to the end. Munro got his fifty and his stand with Marsh led the Scorchers to another well-deserved win here. This is their sixth wicket on the trot and they are looking in surreal form.
What a show by Perth Scorchers and their winning march in the competition continues! They did not have the biggest of targets to chase and have done so with ease.
