That's all we have from this one-sided game. Bangladesh are now out of the race for a place in the final in this tri-series but have one last game to play. It's on Thursday, 13th October, against Pakistan at 7.30 am IST (2 am GMT). You can join us in advance for the build-up. Cheers!
Glenn Phillips is the Player of the Match for his scintillating 24-ball 60! He starts by praising Conway's knock and his stand with Guptill that set the platform for him. Mentions that Bangladesh had done their homework on him but he found a way to score. Smiles and admits that he got away with a few mishits. Calls it incredible how they batted as a group in this match.
Presentation time...
It was a clinical outing for the Black Caps with the bat and their bowling was also largely disciplined. Bangladesh did manage to score freely in the Powerplay but the home team kept on picking wickets at regular intervals and never allowed the tourists to gain any kind of momentum. Adam Milne impressed the most with his extra pace and variations, and he finished with three wickets in the end.
It was always going to be a tough chase for Bangladesh but they showed the correct intent right from the word go. A few batters in the top order got starts but they failed to carry on. Shakib Al Hasan was the lone warrior in the end and the tourists will be pleased to have their skipper back in form with the bat.
Easy win for New Zealand and they have booked their place in the final. It's another disappointing outing for Bangladesh but they will take a lot of heart from their improved batting in this game.
