Stay tuned for the presentation...
Earlier in the day, Comilla Victorians were put into bat first, they scampered their way to 164 for 6 in their 20 overs. Most of their batters got starts but none of them played a big knock. Charles was their top scorer with 32 and some handy contributions from Kayes, Khushdil and Jaker Ali down the order took them over 160. Nasir Hossain was the pick of Dhaka bowlers with 2 wickets and they did a good job in the field to keep them Comilla batting line under 170.
Comilla Victorians were right on the money with the ball led by Naseem Shah who bowled an outstanding spell of 4 for 12 in his 4 overs. Khushdil Shah got 2 in the middle. Charles, Abu Hider and Mukidul picked up a wicket each and defended the total with ease and won by a huge margin of 60 runs at the end.
A sorry looking scorecard for Dhaka as they end on 104 for 9 in their 20 overs. Chasing 165 for their second win this season, Dhaka lost 3 inside first 5 overs and were reeling at 16 for 3. Ghani and Nasir stitched a small little partnership but they were pretty much down and out after the fall of Nasir’s wicket. They were never really in the chase and there was no intent from the lower order to try and get the total. Usman Ghani played a decent knock of 33 and Al Amin hit some boundaries at the end to take his side over the 100 run mark. A miserable run for Dhaka Dominators continues as they slip to their 6th loss in a row.
Comilla Victorians record their fourth win on the trot. Naseem Shah comes into the side and steals the show right away. Dhaka Dominators could never get going with the bat at all.
