Right then. That is all we have from that game. That ends the group stage and we move to the next stage now. India Under-19 have topped Group B and move to the Super League Quarter-Final now on 29th January, at 6:30 pm IST (1 pm GMT). They will face the winner of the clash between UAE Under-19 and Bangladesh Under-19 which is currently underway. It is raining there currently but it looks like the team from Bangladesh will win that clash. Make sure you join us for the next game and do join us in advance for the buildup of the game. Goodbye for now!
Nishant Sindhu, the skipper of India Under-19, says that the team is playing well and he hopes that they can do the same moving forward. Mentions that the batters are doing well and that is a big positive. Says that they will look to execute their plans in the next game too.
Pascal Murungi, the skipper of Uganda Under-19, says they are just ticking the positives and they knew playing India was not going to be easy. He adds that they loved the exposure and they wanted to give their best and that is why they bowled first. States they tried to learn from India, he did not feel they bowled well but the Indian batters batted well. Informs Isaac Ategeka should hopefully be back for the next game.
Raj Angad Bawa is the PLAYER OF THE MATCH for his brilliant knock. He says that he is very delighted with his performance and he enjoyed it a lot. States he looks to contribute with both bat and ball. Mentions that he has met Yuvraj Singh, his idol, a few times when he was young but has not got any tips from him as of now.
Stay tuned for the presentation.
For India Under-19, the new-ball bowlers were decent as Rajvardhan Hangargekar and Vasu Vats got early wickets. Raj Angad Bawa and Ravi Kumar did not have the same success as the bowlers before them but the spin bowlers finished the game as they were brilliant. Especially Nishant Sindhu who finished with a four-fer and led from the front with the ball.
Just the one partnership to boast about for Uganda Under-19 and that came between Ronald Opio and Pascal Murungi. Their skipper played a really good innings of 34 and was the only shining light for his side. The rest failed to cross 20 and except for Pascal Murungi and Ronald Opio, nobody went past the 10-run mark. That tells you everything you need to know.
From all appearances, the game seemed even more of a mismatch than David and Goliath. Quite expected though, never did we expect Uganda Under-19 to compete against this strong side from India. First, it was their bowlers who took a pounding and then their batting surrendered to this very good Indian bowling attack. This is also India's biggest margin of victory and the second-biggest victory margin in the Under-19 World Cup.

OUT! RUN OUT! That ends the game as Isaac Ategeka will not bat again! Darted on the pads. Yunusu Sowobi gets it off his pads towards fine leg. They want the second and turn back for it. Yunusu Sowobi gets to the other end and the throw comes in from Rajvardhan Hangargekar. Dinesh Bana takes the bails off but Yunusu Sowobi seems safe. But the TV umpire is called in. The replays show that his bat got stuck in the ground, just before it crossed the crease and the bails were taken off! India Under-19 win by 326 runs!
Is that a run out? Oh, dear. Yunusu Sowobi's bat gets stuck in the ground, just outside the crease and he is out!

OUT! LBW! Captain gets captain! Flatter, on middle and leg. Pascal Murungi is stuck in the crease while looking to block and gets hit on the pads. There is a big appeal and up goes the finger. Pascal Murungi is not happy with the call and suggests that there was some bat on it. It does seem that there was an inside edge on it! Unlucky for Pascal Murungi.
