Right then, an expected result in the first semi-final and India Women will now be waiting for the winner of the game between Pakistan Women and Sri Lanka Women. That match will begin shortly at 1 pm IST (7.30 am GMT). Cheers!
Shafali Verma is picked for the Player of the Match award. She scored 42 runs off 28 balls and also took a wicket. The Indian opener says that she is happy with her performance and says that the wicket was good to bat on. Tells that she formed good partnerships with Smriti Mandhana and Jemimah Rodrigues and they are looking to work on partnerships. Hopes that the weather will be good for the final and adds that things are going well now for her but hopes to improve further.
Harmanpreet Kaur, the captain of India Women, says that they batted very well against a good bowling attack of Thailand and the partnerships they got helped them to get a decent total on the board. Tells that she is happy with her performance and adds that one gets confidence by getting runs after a break. Mentions that Deepti Sharma can bowl in any situation in the game and she is a match-winner for them. Says that they are ready to play against any team in the final and they are looking forward to it.
Naruemol Chaiwai, the skipper of Thailand Women, says that it was a good experience for them to play in this tournament. Mentions that they are a talented side and getting more exposure will help them. Feels that they have to show more intent and enjoy themselves a bit more.
Stay tuned for the presentation...
As expected, the bowling of India Women proved to be too hot to handle for Thailand Women. Deepti Sharma struck thrice to peg them back and Thailand never recovered. Naruemol Chaiwai and Nattaya Boochatham did apply themselves for a short while but that only delayed the inevitable.
Earlier, India Women fared decently with the bat to post a good total on the board on a slowish surface. It could have been even more had Thailand Women not pulled things back at the death. Credit to them for conceding just one boundary in the last five overs and restricting India Women under 150. That said, the Thai batting once again let them down and they lost this game comprehensively.
Yet another thumping win for India Women as they storm into the final and keep their cent per cent record of playing in all Women's Asia Cup finals. Thailand Women were never in the game, right from the start and it was once again a meek surrender with the bat from them. Nevertheless, reaching this stage of the tournament will do their confidence a world of good.

OUT! RUN OUT! This is tossed up on off. Thipatcha Putthawong drives it to mid on and sets off for a single. Deepti Sharma there picks up the ball quickly and fires a direct hit at the batter's end. There is an appeal for a run out and the replays confirm that Onnicha Kamchomphu is short of her crease.

Oh...nearly a hat-trick! This is a loopy delivery on off. Onnicha Kamchomphu plays it a tad early and ends up looping it up in the air just over and to the left of the bowler. She tries to catch it but it goes over. Single taken.
Onnicha Kamchomphu to face the hat-trick ball. Harmanpreet Kaur has opted for an umbrella field.
