That is all we have from this game. The action in the Indian T20 League continues on Tuesday, the 3rd of May as high-flying Gujarat take on Punjab at the DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai. That match starts at 7.30 pm IST (2 pm GMT) but our build-up will begin much earlier. Till then, take care and goodbye!
Rinku Singh (42 off 23) is the Player of the Match for his match-winning knock. He says it feels great to play Indian T20 League. Adds that he is working hard in the nets and he too felt that after so many years, he needed an opportunity. Mentions that he and Rana were just talking that they should take the game till the end.
Shreyas Iyer, the captain of Kolkata says that the bowling in the Powerplay was a big positive. On Umesh Yadav, he says that even in the nets it's tough to face him and is happy for him, the way he has bowled so far. On Narine, he says that he has been economical and the batters generally decide against taking a risk against him which helps. On Rinku, Iyer says that he had a chat with him earlier on and alongside Rana, the pair of them did extremely well and Rinku is a great asset for the side. Ends by saying that getting the winning is a great thing and they just need to focus on getting off to get to a good start with the ball and applauds the effort of Mavi as well in the field.
Brendon McCullum, the coach of Kolkata is down for a chat. McCullum says he is pleased after so many losses but the guys have stuck together and it was a fantastic performance. Appreciates the performance of Rana, Singh and Mavi. Tells that the selection process is very important as they had a couple of injuries, and loss of forms. Mentions Rinku Singh has been with them for a long time and he wanted to make a statement and he deserved these chances. On Roy, McCullum says that he was brilliant and he too wanted some opportunity to contribute to the team and he feels, Anukul Roy has a big future ahead.
Rajasthan skipper, Sanju Samson is up for a chat. Sanju says that they were short by 15-20 runs, especially given the batters they have. About his injury while batting, he says that he is feeling fine at the moment. Adds that they bowled really well and took the game deep but would have liked to score more runs and hopefully, he wins the toss next time. Mentions that they just looked to go hard while batting but the opposition bowlers bowled really well which made a difference.
Rajasthan were excellent with the ball in the first 10 overs. They managed to keep the run flow in check and also got a couple of wickets. However, the over from Ravichandran Ashwin where Rana took the attack to him, changed the course of the game. From there on, they failed to control the flow of boundaries. Chahal and Ashwin did not have the best of days. Boult was good and so was Prasidh but they needed the two spinners to perform which did not happen. Stay tuned for further interviews.
Finally, Kolkata have broken their losing run! This was not an easy chase but they have managed to get over the line! Chasing a moderate score, Aaron Finch and Baba Indrajith departed early. However, Shreyas Iyer and Nitish Rana then steadied the ship. The two went along things slowly at first but then pressed on the gas when needed. Their stand took Kolkata on top. Iyer fell but Rana continued and he along with Rinku put up a match-winning stand. Rinku Singh played brilliantly and one has to believe, it is his knock that took Kolkata over the line.

FOUR! Superb shot! The scores are level now! A low full toss, on off. Singh takes a step forward and uses his wrists beautifully to hit it through mid-wicket for a boundary.
Sanju Samson continues to be frustrated and is now enquiring with the umpire about the wide on the previous delivery. The umpire explains that if the ball is beyond the second line, the white line then it has to be called a wide. Both Sanju and the umpire have a smile at the end which shows that the enquiry was a polite one.

TWO WIDES! Frustration from Sanju Samson again! This is full and way, way outside off but Nitish Rana also shuffles way across to scoop it away. Sanju Samson does well to get a hand on it and the short third man fielder comes across to stop the ball. A single taken and now the umpire has a chat with Sanju Samson.
