That's all we have from New Zealand's quick tour of the Netherlands. As expected, the scoreline is 2-0. Now, the Black Caps will fly to West Indies for a 3-match ODI and T20I series. As far as the Dutch team is concerned, Pakistan are expected to visit them for a 3-match ODI series in August. We look forward to your company in future. Until then, it's goodbye and cheers.
Mitchell Santner, the Kiwi skipper, says that the pitch played a lot better and the New Zealand bowlers bowled quite smartly. Mentions that they got off to a good start and then carried it forward. Shares that he promoted himself to number 3 to counter the left-arm spinners and it worked well for them. Praises Bas de Leede for his knock. Tells that the intent his team showed throughout the chase was amazing and praises Daryl Mitchell for his knock. Mentions that the team is in good spirits and is looking forward to the next challenge in West Indies.
Scott Edwards, the Dutch skipper, says that 160 could have been a par score but admits that the way they bowled and fielded, they are not sure what a good score would have been on this surface. Tells that you can't afford to misfield and drop catches against a top team. Praises Bas de Leede and says that he has been sensational for them for the last year or so. Feels that this is the sort of cricket they want to be playing in their build-up to the T20 World Cup.
Presentation coming up...
The Black Caps were below-par in both the departments of the game in the first T20I but showed vast improvement. Their bowlers were brilliant in the Powerplay and then at the death to restrict the Netherlands to a gettable total. Mitchell Santner will be delighted with the way the team responded and they will look to carry the same momentum forward.
Chasing a target of 148, New Zealand did lose their openers cheaply but Mitchell Santner promoted himself at number three and along with Daryl Mitchell, he raised an unbeaten century stand to overhaul the target with utmost ease. Santner showed his prowess with the bat to notch up his maiden fifty in T20Is and finished with a 42-ball 77. His knock was studded with nine fours and four biggies. Mitchell played a lovely supporting role and towards the end, he opened his arms and hammered a few lusty blows to take New Zealand home at a canter.
Total domination! What an outstanding batting performance by the Kiwis! They were off-colour in the first game but turned up with full force in this one and decimated the Dutch team. A win with six overs to spare - ruthless!

SIX! Out of the stadium! In the arc and it's out of the park. Fuller in length, around off, Mitchell gives it the full whack of his bat and hoists it over the bowler's head for a maximum. The ball has gone into the water outside the stadium. New ball, please!
