The skipper of Rangpur Riders, Nurul Hasan says that they are delighted with the win and they took it as a do-or-die contest. Mentions that the wicket always looked to get a bit more tricky to bat on in the second inning and that was the reason they batted first here despite rain threats. Mentions that they are representing Bangladesh a winning this tournament would be great for them.
The skipper of Lahore Qalandars, Carlos Brathwaite says things did not go their way and credits Rangpur Riders was putting up a clinical performance under challenging conditions. Says that the run out of Adam Rossington was unlucky on their part. Mentions that it is never a good feeling losing a game but he and his side has enjoyed this tournament.

Rangpur Riders, batting first, began their innings with a positive mindset, capitalizing on the fielding restrictions to accelerate their scoring. Soumya Sarkar and Steven Taylor laid a solid foundation, adding 47 runs for the first wicket inside the first 5 overs. Saif Hassan, at number three, ensured that the momentum was maintained, scoring at a brisk pace. Despite a brief rain interruption, Rangpur Riders batsmen remained focused, losing just one wicket before the innings was eventually truncated to 9 overs. This solid platform enabled the Riders to post a competitive total to defend.
Rangpur Riders bowling unit delivered a clinical performance, setting the tone for their victory. They were virtually flawless in the initial overs, and this precision ultimately made all the difference. Mahedi Hasan was the pick of the bowlers, claiming three wickets in quick succession while conceding a mere 11 runs in his 2 overs. Zak Chappell chipped in with a couple of wickets, while Kamrul Islam accounted for one scalp, as Rangpur Riders bowlers worked in tandem to stifle Lahore Qalandars' chase.
Lahore Qalandars chase got off to a disastrous start, with Rangpur Riders striking early to dismantle the top order. Inside the first three overs, Lahore Qalandars found themselves reeling at 4 for 14, a position from which they never truly recovered. A late flourish from Tom Abell and Mirza Baig, who combined for a rapid 47-run partnership off just 20 deliveries, offered a glimmer of hope. However, once Abell departed, Lahore Qalandars' challenge fizzled out, and it became a mere formality for Rangpur Riders to close out the game.
