Update - 1600 IST (1030 GMT) - Not a lot to update. It is still very gloomy but the rain seems to have eased off. The covers are firmly in place though.
Update - 1514 IST (0944 GMT) - IT IS ABSOLUTELY POURING! Not good signs. There are puddles on the outfield too. We continue to wait.
That's it from this game! Big bash action continues on Tuesday. The Thunder will be taking on the Heat. That game begins at 1345 IST (0815 GMT). Till then, goodbye and take care.
Daniel Hughes has been named MAN OF THE MATCH!
Hobart just did not have enough runs on th4 board. Also, the injury to Meredith did not help their cause. The spinners also weren't very effective. Anderson was the pick of the bowlers but he did not get the support he would have wanted from the front line bowlers. In the end, the Hurricanes were outplayed.
A very clinical chase from the Sixers. They batted really smartly to chase this down. A couple of partnerships is what they needed and they got it. Yes, they did lose Vince and Josh Philippe early but Hughes and Henriques batted really well to turn the tide in their favor. Henriques fell Hughes continued. He was the star and he managed to stay there till the end and win it for his side.
