That is it from this game. A rather one-sided affair to see. The action continues in CPL as St Kitts and Nevis Patriots will take on Guyana Amazon Warriors on the 25th of this month at 4.30 am IST (11 pm GMT, the previous day). Do join us for the build-up. Cheers!
Salman Irshad is the Player of the Match. He says he just bowls in good areas. Adds he has been playing a lot of T20 cricket past three years. Reckons he gets a lot of confidence from the other players and it worked for him today.
The bowlers of St Kitts and Nevis Patriots tried their best but needed more runs on the board to defend. None of their bowler put on an extraordinary performance. Oshane Thomas ended on the economical side but got no support from the other end. St Kitts and Nevis Patriots missed an all-rounder who could have given them that extra edge over Jamaica. Jamaica Tallawahs on the other hand will be really pleased with the performance. The pace of Mohammad Amir and Salman Irshad rattled through as both took 7 wickets together and on the batting side, top four did the job comfortably.
A comfortable win for Jamaica Tallawahs! It felt like they were playing on a completely different pitch as opposed to St Kitts and Nevis Patriots who struggle to get to a decent score. In the chase, Brandon King and Kirk Mckenzie gave a perfect start, putting 50 runs in no time. The youngster fell but King continued his merry way and got to his fifty. His innings did most of the job before Shamarh Brooks and Amir Jangoo knocked it around to win with more than three overs to spare.
