Dhananjaya de Silva wins the Player of the Match. He says he just tried to play the loose balls and make sure to stay till the end, got good support from Wanindu Hasaranga and Maheesh Theekshana with the bat. Reckons he loves to bat and he got the opportunity today. Shares they are doing well in all three departments and are looking forward to the next match.
Credit to Scott Edwards for the way he batted. He needed someone to support from the other end. The batters didn't do much but the tail did help for a while but not for long. Sri Lanka have one man to thank, Dhananjaya de Silva. He made sure Sri Lanka get to a competitive total. Sri Lanka wouldn't have even got to 200 but Dhananjaya de Silva's knock probably gave Sri Lanka a fighting chance.
Sri Lanka have done it! What a game! Sri Lanka have defended the low score but they had heart in their mouth right till the end as Edwards kept the hopes alive throughout. Sri Lanka have made a habit to take wickets for fun but this time they had the pressure as had slightly fewer runs on the board. Netherlands didn't start well. They lost both openers in two overs but got a solid stand in Wesley Barresi and Bas de Leede. At one moment, it looked like Netherlands will chase this down with ease but then came the mystery spinners. Maheesh Theekshana in particular who changed the course of the game. Wanindu Hasaranga was at his best yet again.
