That's it from this game. The action continues as we have two matches coming your way tomorrow. Welsh Fire takes on Northern Superchargers first. Join us at 7.30 pm IST (2 pm GMT) for all the action. Till then, cheers!
Rashid Khan wins the Player of the Match. He says he had just one ball with the bat so there was not much to think about but he was happy he connected it. Adds the length is quite important on this pitch and to hit right areas consistently. Mentions he was ready to accept the challenge to bowl against Andre Russell.
Luke Wood came in with a magical delivery to get rid of Russell. It felt like it was over for London Spirit but Matt Critchley kept the hopes alive. He had the chance right till the end but he was left with no partners who could hit a few lusty blows. In the end, London Spirit were beaten comprehensively. Their chance for further involvement in the tournament is getting dimmer.
Trent Rockets are back to winning ways. An important win for them but a lose means it is all but over for London Spirit who have lost four games now. A really good bowling performance from Trent Rockets. They had the runs to play with. Keaton Jennings fired London Spirit initially but once Rashid Khan was introduced, he struck in his second ball and took a cluster of wickets in the spell which slowed things down for London Spirit but Andre Russell hit a few lusty blows to bring some impetus back into the game.
