Right then that is all we have from this game Action in the ICC Men's T20 World Cup Qualifier B continues on Tuesday, the 12th of July. Zimbabwe takes on Jersey and that match will begin at 1 pm IST (7.30 am GMT) but our build-up will begin much sooner. Do join us then, take care and goodbye!
Sikandar Raza has been adjudged as the PLAYER OF THE MATCH for his scintillating knock of 87 runs.
Earlier in the game, on the back of some sensational hitting by the Zimbabwe batters especially Sikandar Raza, the home side posted a mammoth total of 236 runs on the board. The Singapore bowlers had no answer to the onslaught and once they came out to bat, it was a tall order for them. The inexperienced batters crumbled under pressure with only Aryaman Sunil and Janak Prakash making contributions in the middle. A big win for the home team but all is not lost for Singapore.
Singapore must know that if they are to perform at the highest level, they can not put up a bowling performance like the one they did here against a side that has its own share of troubles. Singapore do have some positives to take from the game. Some of the bowlers showed some sign of control, especially Anantha Krishna who was probably the only bowler not taken to the cleaners. Aryaman Sunil showed ability with both ball and bat and Janak Prakash showed why a lot of hopes have been pinned on him by staying unbeaten till the end.
The hosts would be very happy with their overall performance. The bowlers bowled a tight line and with the scoreboard pressure building on the batters, they were in total command. All of them bowled economically and Tendai Chatara was the pick of the lot. He ended up with 3 wickets and conceded only 14 runs in his full quota of 4 overs. Blessing Muzarabani did well to chip in with 2 wickets of his own. However, it was their performance in the first innings that sealed the game for them. The top order combined wonderfully to put up a large total that was realistically impossible for Singapore to achieve.
This has been quite a one sided affair and the inexperience of the Singapore batting line up came to the fore here. It was stiff target to chase and at no point did they look like they would achieve it as they kept losing wickets at regular intervals. In the end they lost by a massive margin of 111 runs.

That's it, Zimbabwe have won! This is a bit shorter and outside off, Janak Prakash cuts it down to deep backward point for just a single. Zimbabwe win by a massive 111 runs!

OUT! BOWLED! You miss and I hit, Tendai Chatara knocks over Vinoth Baskaran and picks up his third wicket of the game. Chatara goes a bit fuller and attacks the stumps, Vinoth Baskaran makes room and looks to go big downtown. Baskaran ends up completely missing the ball and the ball castles into the middle stump.

Valiant effort from the man at 45 but he can't get to it. Shorter in length, on the pads. Vinoth Baskaran gets cramped for room as he tries to pull it away. The ball goes off the top edge and falls over the man at short fine leg. They pick up a couple of runs.

Tendai Chatara starts off with a slower short ball around middle. Janak Prakash tries to pull it aerially but does so without much timing. Wesley Madhevere races in from the mid-wicket fence but the ball falls short. Just the single then.

At the stumps, this is heaved away by Janak Prakash towards deep mid-wicket for just a single. Just one over remains then between Zimbabwe and a resounding victory.
