Mayank Agarwal, the Karnataka captain, has been brought to a hospital in Agartala after getting ill on a flight.

The cricketing world was stunned on Tuesday evening when Mayank Agarwal. The currently sidelined India opener and Karnataka captain. He was rushed to the hospital after feeling ill just before his flight to New Delhi could to take off.

He is now presumed to be safe after drinking liquid from a pouch that he mistook for water that was put on his seat while on board an IndiGo Airlines flight. However, according to PTI, the Indian cricketer has filed a police complaint through his manager to have the situation investigated.

Mayank Agarwal is an international cricketer. He is now stable and has normal vital signs. However, his manager has filed a special complaint with NCCPS (New Capital Complex Police Station) to probe the situation,” SP West Tripura Kiran Kumar informed the news agency.

The cop then narrated the situation in detail.

“His manager stated that he was sitting in a flight with a pouch in front of him. He drank a little, not much, but then there was irritation in his mouth, and he couldn’t talk and was sent to the ILS hospital. He experienced edema and ulcers in his mouth. Otherwise, his vital signs are stable.

Mayank had led Karnataka to a 29-run win against Tripura and was set to fly to Gujarat for his team’s next Ranji Trophy encounter against Railways. However, given his current condition, the opener has been ruled out of the game. Instead, he will be taken to Bengaluru for further medical care.

What KSCA have to tell on Mayank’s situation.

Agarwal is not under any danger. He is currently being monitored at a hospital in Agartala, and we will fly him back to Bengaluru once we receive an update from the doctors, which is expected tonight,” a Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA) official told PTI.

Mayank has played 21 Tests for India, although he was dropped from the team in 2022 due to poor performances. He was also released by the Punjab Kings club prior to the previous season, with Sunrisers Hyderabad signing him afterward. He had an unimpressive season with the team, scoring 270 runs in 10 games.
