Earlier in the innings, after being put to bat first. Hyderabad batters could not find their mojo away from home. Except for Abhishek Sharma, no other batter looked as promising as he did. To be honest, there is not much to write about this bowling performance from Hyderabad. It was mostly a lacklustre performance from the bowlers. Except for Mayank Markande, no other bowler could really have an impact on this game. Also, sometimes having too many bowlers at your disposal could be a problem for the skipper, and that's how it turned out to be for Aiden Markram this evening.

Chasing a low target could always get tricky and it is all about getting off to a solid start with the bat and that is what Devon Conway provided for the hosts. He was on to the bowlers from the get-go. In a perfect world, Chennai could well have got over the line with all 10 wickets in hand, but it was not the case here, as Ruturaj Gaikwad slipped out against the run of play, that too in an unfortunate manner. Nonetheless, the target was too low to bother the Chennai batting rank and eventually, they got over the line with 7 wickets to spare. Devon Conway was there till the very end with his unbeaten knock of 77 runs.

A resounding victory for Chennai! It was basically one-way traffic throughout the encounter. Earlier, Chennai dominated with the ball in hand, and then their batters undoubtedly outclassed the opposition to collect two valuable points. Hyderabad's bad run continues against the Men in Yellow, as they are only able to extend their losing streak against Chennai away from home.
