Gurkeerat Singh Mann, the skipper of Toyam Hyderabad, is also the Legend of the Match. He says they knew that there was rain and they were ready for that kind of pitch. Adds that the dew started to come at the end but he enjoyed his batting. Says that all games for them were close and ends by saying that the bowling side were always good and he is happy that the batting side did well too.
Irfan Pathan, the skipper of Konark Suryas Odisha, says that they bowled really well but the target to defend was too low. He says that if the target would have been around 120, the result would have been different. Adds that they need to bounce back and win their next game to make their way into the playoffs.

Earlier in the game, the Konark Suryas Odisha scored just 100, with Dilshan Munaweera being the standout performer, scoring 51 runs off 51 balls. The Toyam Hyderabad's spinners, particularly Bipul Sharma and Ravi Jangid, took two wickets each. Munaweera kept fighting but lacked support from his teammates. Overall, the Toyam Hyderabad bowlers dominated!
Konark Suryas Odisha were good with the ball but they fell short of some 20 runs. Had the target for Toyam Hyderabad been somewhere around 120, things would have been different. Dilshan Munaweera was excellent with the ball for them and was the standout as he picked three wickets. Pravin Tambe and Shahbaz Nadeem chipped in with one and the rest of their bowlers were wicketless.
A convincing win for the Toyam Hyderabad as they now win two games in a row. It was a tricky pitch though but they did it with ease as the target was too low. Chasing a total of 100 runs, they were off to a steady start and lost kept on losing wickets at regular intervals. Their skipper, Gurkeerat Singh Mann though stood like a brick wall and carried on with the flurry of runs from one end. He went on to score an unbeaten 52 and guided his side to a convincing victory. He played a lone hand, the rest of the batters just kept on losing wickets from the other end.
