Karachi Kings just could not get use to the pace of the wicket. They would feel they lost in the last few overs when they were bowling when they let Multan get close to 190. Their batters too got off to starts but nothing significant. Shoaib Malik fought a lone battle but once he fell, they fell like a pack of cards. They were completely outplayed in this one.
A fine, fine performance from last year’s finalists and they have begun with a win. 184 on this wicket was always going to be tough and David Willey was brilliant earlier on. He got good support from Ali and in the middle over, Mir and Afridi were impressive. The key for them was they kept taking wickets whenever Karachi looked like getting a move on. It was a complete performance from their side. First from Reeza Hendricks and Dawid Malan and then from the bowlers.
