That's a wrap to this one-sided game. Multan Sultans will be in action again on Friday as they will lock horns with Lahore Qalandars. The action will begin at 8 pm IST (2.30 pm GMT) but you can join us in advance for the build-up. Cheers!
Mohammad Rizwan, the winning captain of Multan Sultans, starts by crediting all the players and the management. Tells that they did drop catches but they were motivated and backed each other. Shares that the pitch played better in the first six overs and they were aiming for 200 but then the conditions changed and they felt that 180 would be a good total. Praises Khushdil Shah for his performance and feels that he has the ability to become a good all-rounder. Wants his team to improve in the field and is looking forward to giving opportunities for those players on the bench.
Wahab Riaz, the captain of Peshawar Zalmi, starts by admitting that they have to do a lot better in the Powerplay - both with the bat and ball. Adds that they are still trying to figure out and it's more about executing the plans. Hopes to execute the plans better in the coming games.
SHAN MASOOD IS THE PLAYER OF THE MATCH! The Multan opener says that his selection in the Test squad has given him confidence and as a player, he just tries to stick to the process. Adds that he has been a bit more clear in his mind and reacting to the situation. Shares that the pitch looked like a belter initially but then it turned out to be tricky when the bowlers bowled wicket-to-wicket. Feels that they got a decent total and their bowlers did well to defend it.
Stay tuned for the presentation...
Blessing Muzarabani joins for a chat. Says that it's always good to keep it easy and hit your lengths. Adds that he is really happy to pick some wickets in this match. Mentions that his height is an advantage and he is really happy to be picked for this match. States that the pitch is slow and you just need to mix your variations. Signs off by saying that he hopes that they win all the games.
There was no spark in the chase. Blessing Muzarabani pegged Peshawar Zalmi back with a couple of blows in the second over by removing the openers cheaply. Only for a brief period, for 24 balls to be precise, Multan Sultans were under the pump when Liam Livingstone and Shoaib Malik threatened to attack. They dropped catches as well but such is their form that even lady luck loves to be on their side. As soon as Liam was sent packing, the chase nosedived. Malik stayed around for a bit but then decided to take care of the asking rate. He though failed and after that, it was one-way traffic. Blessing Muzarabani stood out with his 3-fer and it was a comfortable win for the Sultans.
Yet another convincing win for Multan Sultans. It's becoming a bit monotonous now. The venue changed but not their performance. Their template of starting strong with the bat, finishing the innings with a flourish and then defending with a lot of flavour remains the same in the second leg also. Peshawar got steam-rolled in the reverse fixture as well - losing both the games by a fairly big margin.

OUT! CAUGHT AND BOWLED! Khushdil Shah seals the game for Multan Sultans with an incredible catch. Tossed up, full and outside off. Salman Irshad gets low and tries to slog-sweep but ends up mistiming it behind the bowler's head. This one is not going far away as it comes off the bottom half. Khushdil Shah calls for the catch, he turns around and runs towards it. Later, he dives full length to gather the ball safely with both hands. The third umpire is referred but it's neatly done by Khushdil Shah. MULTAN SULTANS WIN THE GAME BY 42 RUNS.
