That’s it from this game then! England have levelled the series. Still three more games to go. The third one will be played on the 27th of this month. That match begins at 0130 IST (2000 GMT, previous day). Till then, goodbye and take care!
Eoin Morgan, the victorious skipper, is in for a chat. He says, he was really delighted with the way they performed with the ball initially but lost their track in the end. Mentions, there are a lot of positives to take back from this game. Adds, these wickets aren’t easy to rotate the strike but appreciates the boys for their performance with the blade today. Adds, to bowl death is the hardest in white ball cricket. Execution was not on point in the deat overs and backs his bowlers to come back stronger in the next game.
Kieron Pollard, the West Indies skipper, says they lost wickets in clusters and he credits the way they fought at the back end, Hosein and Shepherd were brilliant and they are showing they are willing to take responsibility. Adds they are working hard on their batting and they will overcome it but the biggest disappointed was their fielding. Also says that is what cost them the game, the chances they gave were costly but the game ended well and the confidence is high.
Moeen Ali wins the Man of the Match award. He says, Jason was going really well and adds that he was just fortunate in the middle. Mentions, Roy put his foot on the gas and that really helped them. Adds, they started well with the blade and Jordan made sure to end things brightly from them. Adds that, he thinks they put pressure really well in the middle overs.
Stay tuned for the presentation...
Earlier in the day, after a combined batting effort, England got to the 170-run mark. It seemed like England would win it easily but Shepherd and Hosein played a blinder in the end, Windies lost by just the one run.
The England bowling was brilliant at the start and the spinners were magical in the middle overs. When Ali and Rashid finished their spell, we thought the game was over. The pacers though took a real pounding. England was given a scare but they managed to get over the line somehow.
WHAT AN END TO THE INNINGS! That got way too close in the end. Shepherd, take a bow, what an innings. Had there been support from the others at the end, it could have been a different story. That was no the case though only Pooran and Bravo scored above 20 and the rest failed. Shepherd tried winning it by himself, alongwith Akeal Hosein. They almost pulled off a miracle but they fell short by just.

FOUR! This boundary spoils a good over for Topley. Touch short and on off. Romario Shepherd makes room and slashes at it. His one hand comes off the blade but the ball has enough power to beat the man in the deep and sneak into the boundary. 30 needed of 6 balls.
